CORPORATE OUTPLACEMENT

Since 1994 CGH Careers has provided outplacement services to both the private and public sectors – from the shop floor to the boardroom. Programs have included workshop formats and one-on-one presentations, from individual contracts to major projects comprising extensive employee numbers. Work has been generated almost exclusively by recommendation and referral.

At CGH we see ourselves as simply an extension of the organisation that has engaged our services - providing each candidate with the materials, training, motivation and compassion the client would provide if they were handling the process. We understand from our work across Australia, with diverse clients and numerous career positions, that companies want the most personalised and effective career transition program possible for their retrenched employees.

CGH programs are constantly market tested and refreshed where needed to ensure candidates are provided up-to-the-minute resume and cover letter text and format. The training methods employed in marketing and interviewing are carefully outlined and re-worked as often as needed to guarantee candidate compatibility with what the market place requires.

The key material used is based on the in-house, copyrighted manual ‘Changing Careers’, which combines solid, culturally sound text with a number of worksheets and telephone scripts all geared to eliminate candidate risk throughout the entire job search process. Included in the material is a unique career planning system that can help ‘blueprint’ the employee’s career well into the future. Added to this are targeted psychometric tests and simulated interviews to prepare the employee for the job search task, but with a view to considerably shortening the time to achieve their career objective.

Employees are also informed on broader aspects such as salary negotiation and psychometric test preparation, along with a range of in-house services and the important CGH guarantee, whereby we maintain an on-going service until they secure their next career position.
